ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਖਵੇਂਕਰਨ 'ਤੇ 30 ਮਿੰਟ ਲਈ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਸ ਬਿੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।"
